Gisakura guest house is a budget hotel found in the Nyungwe National Park. The rooms are basic with private, and shared bathrooms. All rooms are clean and spacious. Gisakura serves a simple but tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner to all residents. All visitors doing chimpanzee and colobous monkey trekkings are provided with packed lunch just in case they can’t make it in time for lunch.
Gisakura has a great wide garden which is always lit with fire for the chilly evenings and occasional performances from the local community. The guest house also accommodates the parks information centre and staying at the which gives you a choice of 2-treks in the Nyungwe forest National Park both starting at the base point just behind Gisakura.
It takes a short while to see the black and white colobous monkeys and a trek to the water falls. You may need to walk across the tea plantation to reach the actual rain forest, or you can your driver can drive you to it. The water falls trail is a must from Gisakura guest house.
